Publications

The following publications of the society are available:

“FATIGUE 2007 – The 6th Engineering Integrity Society International Conference on Durability and Fatigue”
“FATIGUE LIFE ESTIMATION” - a summary of the basis of stress-life, strain life and fracture mechanics methods of life estimation.
“PREDICTING FATIGUE LIFE FROM FREQUENCY-DOMAIN DATA.”
Two articles by Frank Sherratt intended for self-instruction or course use.
(1) “FATIGUE LIFE ESTIMATION”, a summary of the basis of stress-life, strain life and fracture mechanics methods of life estimation. This is available free from the secretary in pdf format.
(2) “PREDICTING FATIGUE LIFE FROM FREQUENCY-DOMAIN DATA: PART A”. This is an expanded version of an article in the September 2005 issue of the Society’s journal, giving an introduction to the subject, and describing current methods in general terms.
If you require background reading prior to accessing the articles then ‘A Practical Introduction to Fatigue’ by Andrew Halfpenny of HBM is recommended.
All the articles above may be freely copied for educational purposes.
CD containing presentations and commentary on two EIS events: “High Integrity with Minimum Testing” (2004) & “A Business Case for Optimising Designs in Product Development” (2005)
